Monday Night Football - Call for Image - Ohio artists only

The County Arts Council in Canton, OH invites any artist over 18 years of age living in the state of Ohio to submit an image to fit inside the giant television set being created for “Monday Night Football, 1970”, the sixth moment of The ELEVEN public art series. The area inside the TV screen is approximately 30’ high by 48’ wide. Awards include $5,000 to the winning artist and $500 to each of five runners up.

Auctions benefit the Behringer-Crawford Museum (BCM). 25 local artists will be invited to work en plein air in Covington’s Devou Park to create works for the event’s live auction. Application fee includes a ticket to the gala and an invitation to stand by finished works during the cocktail hour to meet guests. For the silentART auction, all forms of artwork including painting, sculpture, photography, pottery, woodworking, fabric art, glasswork, leather crafting and culinary arts accepted and will be available for bidding at the BCM September 2-16, and at the Drees Pavilion on the day of the event. An opening reception for silentART will take place at the museum from 5-7 pm on September 2, 2017.

Painted Pets - Petcasso 2017, benefiting Pets In Need

The ‘Painted Pets’ are dog and cat forms transformed into one-of-a-kind works of art by professional artists (just think "Big Pig Gig" on a smaller scale). The finished pieces will be on display at the Cincinnati Art Museum and other venues around the city prior to being displayed at the Petcasso event. The 2017 Petcasso event, including the Painted Pet auction, will benefit Pets In Need of Greater Cincinnati. The fourth annual Petcasso fundraiser will be held at The Center on Saturday evening, November 18, 2017.

In Singular Focus Art Show & Sale

Presented by the Greater Milford Area Historical Society in Milford and the Heritage Village Museum in Sharon Woods, works must feature a part, aspect or section of an overall subject. The theme is on snippet-style compositions. Examples might include a single architectural element of a building or structure; a segment of a grave stone; a close-up or cameo flora or fauna feature. Evansville Museum - Juried Competition

At the River's Bend: Our Place on the Ohio. The Evansville Museum invites any artist residing in states that touch the Ohio River; Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, West Virginia and Pennsylvania to enter a juried competition. All work must be original, completed within the last three years and interpret at least one of themes of the exhibition: Settling on the River, Harnessing the River and Living with the River. The competition is open for the following categories: painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, sculpture, and mixed media.

Flowers Upon Flowers - Call to artists with a sense of floral adventure

Gallery South at Christ Church Cathedral, downtown Cincinnati, is mounting a floral art show April 28 - June 3, 2016. The cathedral’s famed flower guild will choose floral art entries that inspire flower arrangements – the more evocative, the better. There will be no prizes for art that’s chosen but there’ll be lots of recognition. No entry fee. All flat media accepted. Art delivery date is April 25. Gala (and very flowery) opening will be 5:30 – 7:30 pm, April 28.

Art in the Garden, 16th Annual Event held in Augusta, Kentucky
Deadline for Submission April 1, 2016.
Presented by Augusta Art Guild, this premier event takes place on the banks of the Ohio River with over 60 local and regional artists exhibiting along Riverside Drive in Augusta, Kentucky. The event will take place Saturday, June 4 at 10 am - 5 pm. This one-day juried art show draws about 3,000-4,000 visitors each year and also features music, children's activities and other entertainment. There is a $200 Best of Show Award.

2016 Evendale Fine Art Exhibit

Exhibit April 29 - May 2, 2016 at the Evendale Recreation Center, 10500 Reading Rd. Cincinnati, OH 45241
Exhibit open to artists living or working within a 50 mile radius of Evendale, OH. Eligible media includes paintings (oils, acrylic, watercolor, and pastels), sketches, etchings and sculpture. Only artists 21 and older may submit works. All works must be original in concept, design and execution.
- Entry fees placed before March 11 are $20 for first piece and $5 for each additional piece, thereafter fees are $30 for the first piece and $10 for each additional piece

StreetSpark, a partnership between the City of Hamilton and the Fitton Center for Creative Arts, is looking for talented artists to create murals for the city of Hamilton, Ohio. Artists must apply to submit designs and/or paint murals. Application cost is free and chosen artists will receive compensation.
